Made In China : The problem of consumerism that is being ignored

When people talk about climate change solutions , things like solar panels and wind mills are brought up . This is thinking is like assuming that fossil fuel use is largely comes from households.

In our consumerism economy most of the goods we consume are imported in on large cargo ships from countries like china . These ships are run with diesel fuel , than transport across the country with large trucks again using diesel fuel  to be sold at Walmart.

If we want to have a renewable economy we need to rethink our economy. Yes European countries use a lot more green energy but then use much less about 25 percent less.

We the people are always wanting change but we ourselves willing to first change to reach the real goals we want?

I think relying on local business would be a good solution. I don’t know how this would effect the prices of good, but I do think that it would give more people jobs, which gives them more income to spend on the products that they desire to buy locally.
There is still a need for big business, but we could do away with a lot of them if people would stop trying to fit in with everyone else. The current system works because everyone is trying to have equal or better property than others. Once we get rid of that mid set we can make advancements in creating a green environment.

Most of our goods within our economy are transported using diesel fuel . This is the major problem with a renewable future is the fact that a green liquid fuel source has not be discovered yet . People will have to realize we will have to change our thinking for what we want to what we need.

I know we talked about hemp before. I remember you saying that we would still need fossil fuels, but do you think it could start as a 30-70 mix and switch to a 70-30 mix?
If that can’t be done how do we get people to make better choices against consumerism?

the problem with hemp or other like is it takes fossil fuels to produce it . Also even the pro hemp people say it will not replace hemp . The problem is it takes fossil fuels to grow hemp . This is why we are not using ethanol because it takes other fossil fuels to produce it . For us to maintain our current standards their needs to be a renewable liquid fuel . There is not so we need to reduce our use of fossil fuels .
